If you are in Lorn and looking for table tennis nearby, Maitland Social Table Tennis Club is just a short drive away. We play friendly, relaxed sessions at Pat Hughes Community Hall in Thornton, and players from right across the Maitland area are very welcome to join us. No booking, no equipment needed. Just come along when a session suits you.
A relaxed club for the whole Maitland area
We are a volunteer-run social club, not a competition set-up. The idea is to come, get a game in, have a chat, and enjoy yourself. You will find a friendly mix of regulars of all ages and abilities at every session.
If you have not played before, or not picked up a bat in a long time, that is perfectly fine. Bats are provided so you do not need to bring anything, and someone will always be happy to rally with you.

Session times and where to find us
We play at Pat Hughes Community Hall, Taylor Avenue, Thornton NSW 2322. Street parking is available on and around Taylor Avenue.
Sessions are on Monday and Wednesday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, and on Friday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. If you are new, the Friday evening session is a relaxed way to ease in.
Cost and how it works
Each session is $5, paid as you go. There is also a $27 annual Table Tennis NSW membership, which you take out once you decide to keep playing.
No upfront commitment and no lock-in. Come and try it first.

Pat Hughes Community Hall is in Thornton, just a short drive from Lorn. There is street parking on and around Taylor Avenue.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. Bats and balls are provided. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes, and bring a water bottle if you like.
Can I just turn up without booking?
Yes. There is no booking system. Check the session times and come along whenever it works for you.
