Three sessions a week, no booking required
Table tennis session times in Maitland
Maitland Social Table Tennis Club runs table tennis sessions three times a week at Pat Hughes Community Hall, Thornton. There is no booking system. Just check the timetable below, find a session that suits you, and turn up.
Session timetable
We run three sessions every week. Two daytime sessions during the week are popular with retirees and anyone with a flexible schedule. The Friday evening session draws a wider mix and is the easiest starting point for beginners.
- Monday: 12:30pm to 2:30pm
- Wednesday: 12:30pm to 2:30pm
- Friday: 6:30pm to 8:30pm (best for first-timers)
Which session is right for you
The Monday and Wednesday daytime sessions are a relaxed hit-and-chat for anyone who can get along during the day. They run at the same time so the vibe is consistent whichever you choose.
Friday evenings tend to bring in a broader group, including people who work during the week and families with kids. If you are coming along for the first time and are not sure what to expect, Friday evening is a good first step. Friendly regulars are happy to help newcomers get a game going.
What to know before you come
Bats and balls are provided, so you do not need to bring any equipment. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes, and bring a water bottle. That is all you need.
Sessions cost $5 each, paid on the day. There is also a $27 annual Table Tennis NSW membership, which you will need to keep playing after your first session.
- No booking, just turn up
- Bats provided or bring your own
- All ages and levels welcome
- Pay $5 on the day
