Is ping pong the same as table tennis?

Same game, different name. Table tennis is the official term but ping pong is how most people refer to it casually. Either way, we play it and you are welcome.

Do I need any experience to come along?

Not at all. Complete beginners are welcome. Friendly regulars will help you get a game going, and there is no pressure to perform.
